Makeup Revolution Radiance, Ultra Contour, Sugar & Spice Blush Palettes: Swatches, & Review.

Makeup Revolution seems to have slowly crept into my life, like a fuzzy little cat paw inching towards your dinner plate. You sit there frozen, wondering what to do with your life, knowing you can’t prevent this domination!

Let’s take a look at a few face palettes!!

Sugar & Spice Blush Palette:  No Shade Names

Review

Ultra Contour Palette ($15This comes with two matte highlighting shades, peach&yellow toned, a micro glitter golden-peach highlight, two chunky glitter baked highlighters, and three matte contour shades. All the powders are creamy and easy to blend, although the baked highlighters do have that typical dry, baked texture.

I love the first three highlighters and the middle contour shade the most out of this palette. The highlighters add a soft glow to my face, while the contour shade is light and cool enough to give my face dimension without looking dirty.

The marbled baked highlighters are just too glittery for me personally, though they do perform well. The other two contour shades run on the warm side and don’t complement my pale skin tone, but I am sure will work fine in the summer when my face gets some color.

Radiance Palette ($15The shades are all beautiful, blend well, and add a soft glow from within that I personally gravitate towards. They are soft but the darker shade is a tad drier than the other two. These do have micro glitter in them, but they are so fine that its hard to notice when applied to the face.

Sugar & Spice Blush Palette ($10: I love bright, bold blushes and these are right up my alley! The blushes are matte but do have a slight satin feel to them, are soft, easy to blend, and a little goes a long way! The two marbled blush toppers are baked so a bit on the dry side, but that doesn’t affect their performance. The top shade leans more on the frosty side while the bottom is pinker in tone, both contain glitter and are capable of giving an intense glow!

Final Thoughts

I am pleased with these palettes! They all performed well and lasted throughout the day with only some slight fading towards the end. I know some complain the Radiance Palette isn’t intense or long-lasting, but it’s not meant to be an extreme highlight. I actually found  their soft glow to be extremely similar my Hourglass Ambient and Too Faced Candlelight powders. Bottom line, you are getting some great quality products at an affordable price, plus when paired with Ulta’s coupons and BOGO deals you are really getting a bargain!

Have you tried these or any other products from Makeup Revolution? Do you have any warnings or recommendations for us?!?
