Maybelline 24K Nudes Palette: Review and Swatches

Picked up this little lady from Ulta for $12 because I love drugstore makeup and anything gold!

You are getting 12 shadows (3 mattes, 6 shimmers, and 3 mattes with chunks of glitter) in this palette and are all pretty much neutral.

The Swatches!!

Review

This crazy thing has a split personality! Some of the shadows are really lovely while others lacked character. You will need a good primer, flat brush to help some of the shimmer shades pop, and even then every shadow will fade throughout the day.

The top row is nice but the bottom row is a slight let down. That first bottom shade is really soft and hardly shows up, the purple looks nice swatched but is really dark once applied and then ends up fading to a not so flattering  bruise color, the next shade just looked brown, the black wasn’t crazy intense but helped darken up some looks, the bronze shade is beautiful, and the glittery black is more of a grey glitter bomb.

Final Thoughts

Even though there were some misses, I don’t hate this palette and will continue to use periodically. It is good for those quick, neutral looks and the gold really is a gorgeous color. If you want to buy, I suggest waiting for it to pop up on sale or use an Ulta coupon!

My thought exactly with the purple I always add primer, but when using the elf eyeshadows or the maybelline or some other brands that don’t exactly pop out as much I would want them to I add a lighter color under either sparkly at times .Thanks for the review ❣️

Other than the purple and a few other shades, this is a really lovely palette!
