Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lip Gloss: Review & Swatches

I have all 20 glosses because by some miracle Urban Decay noticed me and sent these over in PR!!! I am so excited and honestly wasn’t expecting them to ever consider me as a blogger to work with.

As always, I am here for you guys and will keep everything honest!!! Before we begin please know that I’m an all gloss all day kind of gal…. grew in the 90’s when Lip Smackers reigned supreme!!

Let’s get to the glossy goodness!!!

***Please note these launch  March 15 online and in store March 29.***

Hi-Fi Shine Lip Gloss ($20): These little beauties come in four finishes (9 Creams, 3 Sheer Cream, 4 Metallic, and 4 Holographic), contain Peppermint Oil to plump lips and Vitamin E for some nourishment. They also have a nice vanilla, peppermint scent that smells like Christmas but will fade after 10-15 mins of wear. I didn’t notice any tingling from the peppermint oil like some similar lip products…aka Buxom…but you will feel those refreshing properties during the first few minutes of application.

I wouldn’t say my lips looked instantly plumper, but there was some slight fullness happening especially after prolonged use…like I’m day two of constant wear and they do look a little more lush than yesterday morning!!

You really do feel the Vitamin E however!! I am happy to report my lips are nice and soft which is impressive because they are normally all dry-n-crusty!! Not a pretty image, but life threw me a curve ball.

The wand is a paddle shape and reminds me of the ColourPop Concealers, if you have used them then you know how much fun that wand is!! If you have no idea what I’m talking about, where the actual applicator meets the wand is very moveable!! It just bends and glides for easy application…it will have you feeling like Bob Ross effortlessly making happy little clouds and trees with baby squirrel in your pocket!!!

These aren’t sticky or heavy!!! They are comfortable, easy to wear, and the color range is so much fun!! They offer soft, sweet shades to bolder, metallics…so everyone has a chance to shine!!!

Here are the Swatches!!

I tried my hardest to make these swatches look good, but glosses have a mind of their own!! I took some swatches in direct light to show their true colors/shimmer, while others in lower light because their pay off is a little more delicate. These will wear off with drinking and eating like most glosses, but I do find that the brighter and darker shades will leave behind a soft tint.

I hope this helps you make a wise purchase and that’s really what I strive for with these reviews! So if you found this useful please follow my Blog and Instagram, also hit those share buttons!!
