Oooohhhhh it’s time for another comparison blog post!!! This time we will be filling our hearts with a few sweetly baked treats!
I know some people get a bit fussy when brands ‘mimic’ each other, but I am not here to try to sway anyone from buying one over the other. Some people just can’t spend $30 on the Too Faced Sweethearts and others just don’t want to. So regardless of your reasoning, my goal is to simply tell you how the products perform and if they are similar.
With that said, let’s begin!!
Too Faced Sweethearts Bronzer in Sweet Tea ($30): This little cutie is a favorite for light-medium skin toned beauties looking for a soft, summer glow. This bronzer is extremely natural, blends beautifully, and wears lovely throughout the day. I can put it all over my face and neck to achieve bronzed perfection without looking dirty or orange. The micro glitters add a perfect ‘lit from within’ glow without looking too extra. Sweet Tea does summer skin perfectly!
Makeup Revolution Blushing Hearts Bronzer in Summer of Love ($7): So everything you just read about Sweet Tea, insert it here. The only difference is that sweet Tea does appear to have more pigmentation when first applying. If you dust on Summer of Love with a denser brush and build it up a bit, they honestly look the same!
Too faced Sweethearts Blush in Candy Glow ($30): This is a beautiful pink blush that offers a soft glow! I loved this blush during the winter for that ‘just in from the cold air’ flushed look and also works beautifully for a ‘hint of summer sparkle’ during warmer months. I do find that this will fade by the end of the day, but I have this problem with almost every baked blush.
Makeup Revolution Blushing Hearts Blush in Peachy Pink Kisses ($7): Yeah, this is nothing like Candy Glow! I know they are two different blush shades, but am referring to performance!! I would consider this to be a highlighter rather than a blush. There is a light peachy, pink coloring but it has an ‘icy’ appearance on the cheeks. This is a beautiful highlighter, but not the best blush!!! This did fade throughout the day, which again is normal for me and baked face products.
Makeup Revolution Blushing Hearts Highlight in Goddess of Love ($7): This is a beautiful frosty highlight with a lighter pink undertone. It can be lightly dusted all over the face for a subtle glow or built up for an intense ‘Instashine’. The fading was most noticeable when I used this all over the face versus building up on my cheeks. It still looked fine and if anything just came off more natural!
So, overall everything is beautiful and made me look amazing!! Except for Peachy Pink Kisses, she was out to sabotage me! I might try the other blushes in Makeup Revolutions Blushing Hearts collection, but am slightly worried they will end up as highlighters! If you have tried any please let me know!!!
